The AI in Schools 2026/27
Bursary Award

AI in Schools work with schools, trusts, Careers Hubs and other partners across England to deliver fun, hands-on AI literacy, computing and careers workshops.

We appreciate the cost of an educational workshop can be prohibitive to some settings. As a social enterprise, we’re committed to widening access and promoting digital equality, especially in rural locations and the north of England.

Throughout the 2026/27 academic year, we are offering a small number of bursaries (worth up to £500) to deliver our AI Discovery workshop to Year 5 and 6 pupils.

If you are a primary school who meets the criteria listed below, the first step is to complete the short expression of interest form and a member of our team will be in touch shortly.

Bursary Criteria

To apply, your school must meet the following:

A primary school with Year 5 and/or Year 6 pupils
Pupil premium of 30% or higher
Within one of the following Local Authorities: City of York, North Yorkshire (Harrogate, Selby, Ryedale, Hambleton districts), East Riding of Yorkshire, Leeds, Wakefield, Doncaster, Bradford, Kirklees, Barnsley, Rotherham or Scarborough
